Walking has become a daily habit for me. It helps me to decompress after work. So happy to go to YouTube and see this was posted just 5 minutes ago!
I love my walking pad and stand-up desk. I also get on my rebounder a few times per day.
I’m thinking I need this because I may need to switch jobs as I currently work in a supermarket but it’s becoming too overstimulating for my autistic brain and too intense for my hip pain and flat feet. My perimenopause doesn’t like it much either.
Walking with intensity has really helped me in so many ways!!
Sometimes, you think over eating is a reward for walking. It will not work.
hugs. walking, cycling, swimming, sitting in the gym sauna/steam room or a low-calorie, low-fat chocolate mug cake are my rewards. I can relapse and use food too but as long as I stay focus, I manage not to overeat to often. I live somewhere with a nice park and riverside so walking there is a reward for me especially at sunset. Tracking also helps me a lot!

I love walking! No problem 😊
The view from your Villa was gorgeous! Very good info on walking. I have to walk to catch a bus now and sometimes it’s a half a mile and walk back with a backpack full of groceries. The walking pad is a consideration for me when stuck inside for the winter and icy. When at the beach I would walk for hours because of my love for the beach and the ocean. What brand of walking pad do you have?💜 🎉
i love walking in good weather….winter unfortunately in the UK is often terrible weather and in some cases…blowing a gale or frozen so you could fall over and hurt yourself quite easily. breaking a bone over 40 is very stressful!
Thanks for watching!
@@marleyhill34 Yes I never thought about it being so windy there. Why not a meadow or grassy path like she was walking on. I know that in the early mornings and evenings is when it’s the calmest. Here in Pennsylvania we have snow and ice covered roads and it’s not worth walking on the sidewalks because they’re either not shoveled or broken up.
@@di4085 Safer in the gym if it’s gale force. They literally give us weather warnings not to go outside unless absolutely necessary/emergencies….Unfortunately a lot of people die from being hit by things blowing around..or a tree landing on them or their car. I live in an area with more trees than meadow and grassy paths with no trees. Also meadows and grassy paths tend to turn into bogs 300 days of the year here also because it rains so much. Went for a walk with one of my friends and she stepped on what she thought was a puddle and she sank into the mud up to her knees…she’s short…I had to pull her out. Lol! I’ve lived in the UK longer than her…we don’t step cycle or drive into innocent-looking puddles…Lol! That’s a mud sinkhole.
Thanks for the video Melissa😊. I’ve been alternating my weight training days with 30mins on the treadmill for the past 30 or so days. I’ve changed that to 30 mins with as high an intensity (I’m up to 3.2) as I can for one minute every 5 mins. I’ve done that for 2 weeks and now I’ve upped that to 40 mins. I went to the doctor last week and my blood pressure was 115/70! I nearly fell of my chair! Good things are happening🤗.
I love this video I love walking 🚶♀️ it’s my favorite thing to do ❤
This is so helpful! I’ve had these questions bc walking and doing cardio HIIT gets overwhelming along w weight training. We just do our very best each day. Anything we can do and should. Thank you Melissa!
