Good presentation!
It works! I’ve taken it for three days now and i’m still alive 👍
Hahaha!
Good enough for the interwebs.
are you sure?
@@yes0r787 Yep! Still alive. This sure is good stuff 👍
1 day for me, no apparent effects at all.
Studies on beating addictions used 8 to 12 grams and higher – success rates were from 83% to 97% without counseling AND ONLY voluntary food journaling and “self directed” “food elimination” those results were within 6 to 12 months AND follow ups at two and three years showed only a 5% to 9% relapse rate for various addictions studied.
I kicked smoking just by forgetting about it, which i thought was odd . .. all while using taurine that year, maybe that had that effect
@@luisgerardollamasgutierrez9726how much did you use ?
Good show, great format. Thanks
Taurine also increases NAD+ while at the same time lowering NADH levels, making you healthier at a cellular level. Fasting does thus also. Some benefits of doing occasional extended fasting: High blood pressure is lowered to normal levels very quickly while fasting.
Fasting restores NAD+ to healthy levels.
Vitamin D plasma levels are increased as fasting improves metabolic health, and vitamin D in turn increases autophagy.
Fasting stimulates phagocytosis, the ingestion of bacteria, plaques and viruses by the immune system. It will also remove any ‘foreign material’ like spikes that are not supposed to be there. Whether natural or unnatural in origin..
Fibrosis/scarring is reversed over time.
Fasting increases nitric oxide release.
Blood clotting is reduced and blood clots and arterial plaque are reabsorbed into the body.
Reflexes and short term memory are increased.
Fasts from 36-96 h increase metabolic rate due to norepinephrine release!
After 72 hours or more fasted, your body recycles up to 1/3 of all immune bodies, rejuvenating your entire immune system. This helps prevent the onset of new autoimmune conditions, which develop through a leaky gut and damaged immune system.
Fasting can help with MS, Depression, BPD, Autism and seizures.
Thymus is regenerated, which suppresses aging and renews the immune system. The thymus also plays a vital role in fighting cancer.
Blood sugar and insulin are lowered when fasting, allowing white blood cells to move more freely throughout the body and do their job.
Weight loss from daily caloric restriction has 1/4 to 1/3 of the weight lost as lean tissue while many studies show fat loss from 36 h fasts without losing any lean tissue!
The obese will lose extra tissue like loose skin while fasting, but the skinny or frail will have increased growth hormone release than the obese, which helps to make more lean tissue and reduce frailness.
The hunger hormone ghrelin also lowers with extended fasting and rises from dieting.
When you move out of MTOR your body shuts down the building blocks of the cell required for viruses to replicate.
What breaks a fast? Anything with protein or carbohydrates in it will break a fast. Most teas and herbs are OK. Most supplements and meds will either break ketosis directly or contain a filler that will. Many meds are dangerous to take while fasting.
Does fasting lower testosterone? No, it raises it when the fast is broken by increasing lutenizing hormone. Fasting also increases insulin sensitivity, which helps with muscle building.
Fasts of 36-96 will not affect short term female fertility or affect menstrual cycle. They also may increase long term fertility, especially in women with PCOS.
Fasting reduces pain and anxiety by stimulating the endocannabinoid system in a similar way to CBD oil.
Fasting very quickly reduces leptin resistance, which impairs immune function. One day of fasting can cut your leptin levels in half and gets your immune system working properly again!
Stomach acid is reduced over time while fasting and can allow for the healing of treatment resistant ulcers. Some patients may need continued acid reduction medication while fasting.
Does the body preferentially prefer glucose as a fuel? No. Except for brief periods of very intense exercise, your body mainly burns fats in the form of free fatty acids. Your brain also prefers to burn ketones at a rate of around 2.5 to 1 when they are available in equal quantity to glucose.
Fasting stimulates the AMPK complex and activates autophagy. Autophagy (literally self eating) will cause cells to recycle foreign matter such as viruses and kill cancerous and senescent cells
Lowering insulin via fasting virtually eliminates chronic inflammation in the body.
It increases mitochondrial function and repairs mitichondrial DNA, leading to improved ATP production and oxygen efficiency. Increased mitochondrial function also has the added benefit of increasing your metabolism, fighting infection and cancer prevention!
Fasting releases BDNF and NGF in the blood which stimulates new nerve and brain cell growth. This can help a great deal with diseases like MS, peripheral neuropathy and Alzheimers.
When not in ketosis, the brain can only burn carbohydrate, which produces a great deal of damaging ROS the brain has to deal with.
Fasting also increases telomere length, negating some of the effects of aging at a cellular level.
When you fast, this stimulates apoptosis in senescent or genetically damaged cells, destroying them. Senescent cells are responsible for many of the effects of aging and are a root cause of the development of cancer.
A fasting mimicking diet for 3-5 days in a row also provides many of the same benefits as water fasting.
Exogenous ketones can aid with fasting, making it easier in healthy people and allowing some people with specific issues to fast in spite of them without worrying as much about hypoglycemia.
Children, pregnant or nursing women should not fast for periods longer than 16 hours. People with pancreatic tumors or certain forms of hypoglycemia generally cannot fast at all. Type 1 diabetics can also fast but it is more complicated and should be approached with caution as it could lead to ketoacidosis. If you experience extreme symptoms of some kind, especially dizziness or tremors, then simply break the fast and seek advice.

I have 1000mg each of Taurine AM and 1000mg Glycine PM.
Cysteine does not suit me, but Taurine helps immensely esp for heart & brain health. It also gives me energy boost.
You said “helps immensely esp for heart & brain health”. What specifically are you looking at to know this, what tests?
@benadams1826 Cholesterol, Blood pressure, hsCRP, coronary calcium scores, and inflammation.

Add NAC
Speaking from first hand experience, mostly recovered from myocarditis, Taurine supplementation DEFINITELY strengthens the heart (instantly). Which if you have atopic beats/skipped beats etc you may find jarring. It literally makes your heart beat harder at the first dose. Lol
Wow Good to know this. Thank you
Same here
What dosage, sir?
@@SirHargreeves I tried 1 gram per day at first then 2 or 3 … others have done 6 grams a day no problems but I stay around 3. sometimes I do 2x a day so that’s 6 grams. Everyone is different and needs changes so explore. If you take it before bed it helps with sleep. Each gram is about 1/4 teaspoon. so 2 grams is 1/2 teaspoon. If you are on High Blood Pressure meds measure your bp before taking the meds. You don’t want to go too low bp. If low bp then talk to doc to lower med dosage or get rid of it all together. You don’t have to mention T.
i used to have regular chest pains back then. i changed my diet and started eating more meat. in the first two months i also supplemented taurine.
now i no longer have chest pains. also i no longer have electrolyte issues and tinnitus.
i used to be on a plant based diet(low taurine diet). besides chest pains i also had debilitating and incredibly painful cramps at least once every few days, occasionally i would have heart palpitations and sleeplessness at night. tinnitus was also a regular occurrence. all of this are symptoms of taurine deficiency which peopIe think dont exist since “we can make taurine”. ridiculous considering how peopIe on low taurine diets almost always end up with similar health issues
The secret to anti aging is to eat less often and to eat less sugar.
There are tribes who eat primarily fruit, as that’s all that is available to them, and they live long, look great, and have no heart disease, while getting most of their energy from the natural sugar in the fruits they eat. True story. Look it up.
There’s also tribes out there that eat people. I think they have access to fruit so I am not sure why they do it. Also I don’t know if it makes you live longer, but the point is you should not visit them.
Lame outdated paradigm, sorry to inform you
@@tylergooden2183 Thanks for the info , I canceled my trip to visit the tribe ! 😂😂😂😂😂. 😜

Note that native indigenous fruits in the wild is completely different from the sugar laden, genetically modified, and pesticides drenched commercialized fruit you get in your supermarket.
The last study I looked at on taurine was presented by Thomas DeLauer. He didn’t do the study, just a video on it. That study’s info on dosage was “no adverse reactions” found in humans in the study with daily intake of SIX grams of taurine daily. I’ve been doing that for close to two weeks. No issues other than feeling 20 years younger (I’m 72)
I see, when i tried somethnf with it,,it made me feel tense.
Mb it had green tea in it too ehich coukd cause it.

@@jacquesjtheripper5922 Everybody might react differently to taurine, but this is something the body makes, just less and less as we get older. I’m betting taurine was innocent, green tea was the culprit. I looked at the charts measuring taurine levels after ingestion of 6 grams. Present at elevated levels after 1 hour, back at baseline at hour 6. Take more than once a day?
@@3mountains307 Maybe… Or split the dose? Or a combination of the two? Which is possibly what I’ll do, I’ve only just ordered mine.
@@SaxonSuccess I don’t normally eat until I’ve been up for 6 or 7 hours, so I’ve started taking 6 grams when I get up, and 6 grams about 5 hours later. We’ll see what happens. Good luck with it.

I’ve been taking 3gm daily for many years now; I started it for eye health (along w/NOW Liquid Sunflower Lecithin). Prior to that I had some pretty opaque cataracts that had popped up (and which are no longer there).
Thanks for sharing your experience with Taurine. How does the Sunflower Lecithin impact the Taurine supplementation?
@@4tun8nanette Sunflower lecithin supports the nervous system (amongst many other good things). I take Taurine specifically to reverse cataracts and for eye health, so it makes sense to take the sunflower lecithin too.
Who did pay for the studies? A popular energy drink manufacturer?…

Excellent presentation. Been using 3-6 gm a day for last 90 days. 67 yr old man, right away experienced better mental acuity, sleep, less hunger, lower blood pressure and then far better stamina.
