I started on 250mg a few months ago and only this week started taking 500mg (2 tablets). The effects in the gym completely blow away anything I’ve ever taken. I’m 46 years old. When I heard you say that 1-2 grams is what is a reasonable dose for anti-ageing I was stunned. Really? Am I taking such a low dose? Because whatever it is doing is amazing. Also very nice presentation.
I think it must be partially dependent on age and quality of dose. I’m seeing crazy results with 500mg (had to start with 250 as well).

It wrecked my sleep even taking it at 5am when I wake up. I was only taking 250mg for nearly two weeks. I stopped and the poor quality sleep persists. Prior to this my sleep tracker would daily have me in the top 99% for sleep quality.

I had the same issue. I tried lowering the dosage to under 100mg and it still affected my sleep dramatically. My eyes were peeled open until 4 am. Every now and then I’ll try again but same result. It definitely raises energy levels, which is great, but at the expense of a good nights sleep (for me).

NMN and Berberine I take high doses above 500mg. People actually say I look younger and they don’t know I take it. I have more energy and am happier in myself.

I was asked out for drink by a 26 year old. I’m 50, she thought I was in my early 30s. I’ve been taking NMN, Zinc and Resveratrol with a glass of lemon water and freshly grated Ginger (look up prostate cancer). I did a fertility test last year and t he doctors were dumbfounded on the quality and sperm count for someone my age. I take the ginger and lemon for prostate health. Needless to say, if my prostate is very healthy imagine the rest.
I have been using the withings body cardio scales for many years.
Whenever I start taking 500mg again consistently, my ‘vascular age’ readings plummet below the recommended ‘optimal zone’ for my age.. saying I’m 5+ years younger.. it always freaks me out a bit, like somethings going wrong in my body.
In the summertime when I’m ice bathing at zero degrees Celsius for 10 mins, it’s even more pronounced.
seems odd someone is telling you this is a zone and that your ‘vascular age’ can be non optimal if its too young, do you have any more info on the recommended optimal zone?
@@andosoup98 no, I don’t know anymore about it’s calculations.. its measuring ‘pulse wave velocity’, sending a current up one leg and out through the other, it’s just their ‘recommended healthy level’ for someone with my age and stats, like a BMI, for your veins.
It’s all green, indicating it’s very good being ‘below’ the ‘optimal zone’, which is apparently ‘better than 90% of other withings users’, says the lower your score, the better your cardiovascular health, vascular and biological age.
I’m a week in to 1g a day of nmn.. and been doing ice baths for a year.. but have yet to do this test.. my vascularity though is through the roof

@raninraiIn direct answer to your question, since promoting its use for years and publishing a book that also likely promotes its use (September 2019), he has more recently taken on a role in a company, which could lead to substantial financial gain on his part. The company wants to market NMN or a very closely related compound. They appear to want to prevent free OTC availability of NMN to sell more of their product, at a relatively higher price, likely through a process requiring a prescription.

Great interview! I do wish we could get more info on using MB with retinoids. I know she talked about how they have “opposite” mechanisms of action and their website recommends using retinoids elsewhere on the body. But….I guess I have FOMO. 🤣 I don’t want to miss out, apparently. LOL I’m just not willing to give up my tretinoin for something so novel. I would, however, be interested in finding a way to incorporate them both. I thought perhaps opposite times of day but I’m getting the impression that’s not advised. Bummer!

I was taking it during bipolar depression episodes. And it helps the episodes end faster and not be as bad. And now it is harder to get. And I don’t have any on hand while in a current depressive episode. I did just order some from do not age though.
I’ve been getting off meds and even felt tired just walking. It’s been HELL. I just started taking NMN+ and I actually had energy to walk my dogs today and feel like I can run a mile! I’m not sure how long this will last but I’m taking advantage of it. I got a months worth and will keep taking it. Even if it only works today just having the energy is a godsend. And want to be clear it’s not a jittery kinda energy like coffee or any drug. It’s a very calm energy where I can sleep if I really wanted to or go out and not be dragging. It’s very nice to feel energetic again.
🤔…..I want to see some more comprehensive studies on humans. Studies with larger groups, double blind/placebo….AND I also would like to know what happens to individuals who take NMN for a long period of time (say for example, like 1 year, or 2 years) and then they completely stop taking it.
In other words, is there a cumulative benefit of taking MNM that remains and/or declines slowly? Or would studies find that the body quickly returns to pre-supplementation of NMN?
I think that supplementation by older adults of creatine is a good example of what I’m asking here. Creatine has been shown to be very beneficial – particularly for older adults who are very active, I.e., resistance training, and high intensity training. Gains in muscle size/strength, and bone density have been confirmed in studies. However, once the individual stops taking creatine, the body returns rather quickly to pre-supplementation condition.
But if the goal is to increase NAD, niacin plus exercise seems to be as effective and is very cheap and been used for a long time. There are places that have NAD injections but I wouldn’t do that. It’s interesting though.
I’m curious why there were positive results, when you told us, NMN won’t work without TMG, Apigenin and Quercitin
