  • @muchadoaboutkovu says:

In 37 and every woman older than me warned me of my body will betray me. And you can’t do anything but wear a bag the rest of your life. My body is starting to as I think I’m in peri menopause or starting. You have helped immensely of ideas with nutrition and exercise. And I want to enjoy life with a good healthy body without the “mom bod”.

  • @bridgetb9899 says:

I didn’t realize i was going through peri-menopause either. The moods, the weight gain, the marriage break down. 😖 Finally getting myself back on track thanks to your 8 week program. Slow and steady.

  • @marylousoto4103 says:

Yes, me too…I’m post-menopause 57 and have Hypothyroidism…I am just tired of being tired, educating myself here, learning so much! Thank you!! 🙏

  • @sophiasirena5226 says:

I’m 42 years old. I’m not in menopause yet, but I’m always trying to stay educated, as there really isn’t a lot of talk/info about it. What has changed for me is the amount of time it takes for me to lose weight. I’ve been trying for 4 years to lose 10 lbs! It’s so frustrating, but all your tips give me some hope! Thank you, Melissa!!

  • @lindaschwartz504 says:

Yes, I was sedentary in my late 20’s, 30’s and my 40’s because I worked at a desk in the corporate world. I thought that was the only way to earn money at that time. I also became a mother at age 37 and I was able to stay home with her. When my family and I moved from NY to L.A. in 2013 and started going to the gym as well as continuing my vegetarian lifestyle, I became so much more active. I fell in love with Zumba .Now I have been teaching Zumba for 6 years and dancing Zumba 11 years. I became a personal trainer in 2022 because I learned to enjoy Bikini Bodybuilding. My life has been changing for 14 years now and love it! However, I still am not perfect and my body continues to change. I am really praying that I can build the dream body I have always wanted. A beautiful silhouette body shape and more muscular!

Thank you Melissa, we all need to hear this great information.

  • @itohano8724 says:

After I had 3 kids, I was about 150-170 after all my kids. I actually got into the best shape
e of my life at 37, 38 with exercise and keeping with a nutritionist.

Then at 39, my body shifted and betrayed me like I could have never imagined. The nutrition was not helping. Years of stress, anxiety, poor relationship, mood swings, and grief did not help.
Now 42, I am over 200lbs, tried too many things and so frustrated, body hurts, tired, feet hurt…
I am here to find out why I am struggling so much.

    • @reneehann3193 says:

Oh I’m so sorry to hear that you poor thing – hang in there xx

    • @cierrabennett206 says:

Stop eating ultraprocessed foods/sugar and drink only water is a great starting point. It balances hormones and blood sugar and increases energy to allow more activities. When you want something sweet, eat fruit occasionally. This is a good starting point, but don’t give up. Just keep going! ❤

    • @cierrabennett206 says:

Wanted to add that I am 40, and just by giving the advice I gave you, I lost over 60 pounds and have been able to maintain it almost effortlessly due to these adjustments. Walking and weights have been added recently, and my body just keeps getting better and stronger every day. Start somewhere, maybe walking and water, BUT you have to get those processed foods out bc they do not agree with any of the ‘pause!

  • @EdelweisSusie says:

Surprised you didn’t mention progesterone gel: it’s stopped my eight gain, helps me sleep, clears brain fog and shifts the weight.

  • @sarahpanigada4684 says:

I discovered tour channel about a year ago and felt less lost since. I went through peri and full menopause without realising it. I still love the genuine need you have to share , help and this down-to-earth simplicity.
