Hi Melissa, It was great shopping with you. I miss Whole Foods! You had me missing my homeland!! Great video as it was helpful for when one travels. Hope you ‘re well and you enjoyed the Tony Robbins Conference!!

Pico de “gallow”.. that was so cute 🤣💗.. I know… I am immature with the accent, but I love it. I loved hearing, “I’m going to get the trolley!” I promise this isn’t a mean comment I just loved hearing how y’all pronounce things and have different names for things!

Also, honest question… is it crazy to think “wow she looks amazing for 57” is it really that weird?? Have we gotten so far from how we really should look that when we see someone fit and fabulous it’s a shock? Why is it in my head I think 57 and I picture someone overweight/frumpy/homely? Maybe because I am used to seeing my mom and other women like her especially living in Texas. My mom is 68 and severely overweight, but in my head “that’s normal.” I mean she still gets dressed, does her makeup, styles her hair, but she cares nothing about losing weight and watching what she eats.

On another channel I watched the creator also happens to be from Houston, and she she went to Dubai and she said all the women are skinny.. so that was a shock, and you don’t see all these overweight people like you do in Houston. It’s crazy how something can become the norm when it really isn’t the norm to begin with. It’s not normal for all of us to be so overweight, but when you see it everyday, or you’re surrounded by people who don’t care about their weight/health/fitness then that is what becomes your normal. I don’t go around my day counting all the overweight people vs. the fit/skinny people, but now I want to be cognizant and pay attention. Now I want to do a little experiment and actually pay attention to people. Normally I’m rushing about my day and just passing my people. I have noticed most of us at my gym (which is a different kind of gym.. more like bootcamp/HIIT classes) are overweight. There are a few people who are actually fit taking the classes, but the majority of us are overweight.

Welcome from here in beautiful coastal Connecticut… No shame on New Jersey but…. NEWARK, of all places??!?
I’m sure Tony Robbins speak s in places like New Orlea ns or San Francisco or San Diego or Atlanta, New York City, well obviously I could go on and on with amazing places in the US… Tony
.. dude…. Do better! (Although admittedly Newark has a pretty useful airport so I guess that makes it a sensible destination)

    • @RB-kr5ye says:

There are major events in Newark all the time at the Prudential Center. New York isn’t close or convenient for everyone plus it’s often booked.

@@RB-kr5yetrue. Glad to see Newark is outgrowing and overcoming its previous reputation! Happy to see any community experience a renewal! 🇺🇸

Great info melissa..what protein bars do you recommend please?

  • @Frenchblue8 says:

So I cannot speak for the Whole Foods(or as we call it in what used to be the good old US of A, ‘Whole Paycheck’) in Newark, however, the one in Milford Connecticut, with regard to the hot bar and the salad bars ….So each dish has a label on the glass cover above it which lists all the ingredients.
I would also add that the people who prepare the things like sauces and dressings and marinades actually work in the professional kitchen and you can always ask one of them to come out and you can talk to them about any of the bar offerings. They are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

As for the oatmeal… Even mainstream supermarkets in the US have single serving, microwavable oats, with flavors like Maple brown sugar, apple and cinnamon, peaches and cream, mixed berries and good old original/,plain. You just add water and then nuke and stir and eat

I think you are still able to make our own nut butter at whole foods. They have a machine. It would be good to check if this one does.
