You can also take it when fasted
Just buy them both separately. No point in paying extra to Do Not Age just for them to mix together to very cheap supplements and charge you a premium for it.
I take one gram of each in the evening daily.. I saw information that it was better to take it before sleep..I might up my dosage. I buy NAC from a compounding pharmacy and glycine from bulk nutrients.. in powder form. More cost effective
Im 36 and take both. I read a study that said people with ADHD have lower glutathione levels. It has helped me with focus in major ways. Plus i dont obsess over stupid things as much. Also my eye sight is improving
LMFAO.. man.. can I ever relate to “obsess over stupid things”… ain’t ADHD great :P… lol

Look into iodine and choline, and if u go down iodine rabbit hole you’ll need lots of vitamin c, magnesium, selenium, some B2 and B3. ADHD has a lot to do with the gut, having right strains of probiotics to make and absorb vitamins and minerals and getting in the vitamins and minerals we need. My neurologist thought I had add. I got tested for hell of it and they just said I’m depressed. Serotonin is produced/absorbed in gut which turns into melatonin at night. Irregardless I know I’m not Adderall deficient. That stuff was horrible.

I have to share my GlyNAC experience. With most supplements you donβt know if itβs working or not. Unless your getting blood work all the time. But I started taking this a few months ago and wow! I wake up refreshed, alert, no brain fog. Itβs especially good if you had alcohol. The effect for me started almost from first dose. Iβm 63 been keto and intermittent fasting for 3 years. I take the combo a little before bedtime at 1600 mg and it helps me go to sleep fast too.
When you say 1600 mg … What ratio is that? I mean how much is glycine? and how much is NAC?
What brand / product do you use? Thanks
Sounds about right because most are nac 600mg,glycine 1000mg
I started taking this about 9 months ago. My enegy levels have doubled. Lot less brain fog. I get going faster in the mornings.
Exercise especially strength training is KING as it mitigates the effects of ‘sarcopenia’ and ‘dynapenia’ as we age. Muscle is the most metabolically active tissue in the body and the more lean mass you have the better your metabolic health. Supplements and diet are QUEEN although both are important studies have proven that resistance exercise is the best natural drug for preserving longevity and protecting against all cause mortality. Just ask renown longevity expert Peter Attia.
Glycine is very cheap if bought as a single ingredient, in powder form, thus it’s much cheaper to buy Glycine and NAC separately.
Hi Max, yes i buy mine seperately too. But i also take glutamine as well because i bought a book by a famous psychiatrist and he showed how to make glutathione and it was exactly as i put plus glutamine. Another guy on another video who is supposed to be an expert says glutAMATE! Ive heard that is bad to use! As the psychiatrist said. So i buy a powder form on Ebay powder and use 1 scoop with the other two ingredients, hence that gives you Glutathione. I bet that product is expensive? will have to check it out. But then i use glycine and glutamine for other issues too. Good luck on your health journey.
I already take Collogen which is 22% Glycine. So for every 10g of Collogen powder, about 2g is Glycine. Therefore you take 2g of NAC.
I am aged 65. I have been consuming 1 to 2 x 100mg GlyNAC-ET capsules a day for roughly 7 weeks. From the first day I noticed enhanced mental focus and by the 4th day I felt as though I had the energy similar to my late 30s! Prior to consuming this supplement my energy levels were low. This supplement has been a game-changer for me. Now I am walking at a brisk pace with my wife who is 21 years younger than me over 5.4 kilometres of hilly terrain within 50 minutes. Physical chores around the house and garden are a breeze now!
100 or 1000 mg ?
100mg. @@anjanduttakoirala3023
I am happy to have read your comment, since I will be receiving my purchase of GlyNAC-ET from Amazon tomorrow. Did you buy your supplement from βNutri by Natureβs Fusionsβ? It has 1,050 mg of glycine, 100 mg of NACET, 50 mcg of selenium, and 100 mcg of molybdenum. I had heard about NAC awhile back but was unsure of which brand to buy. Then, I saw this one, which states that NAC Ethyl Ester is 20x more bioavailable than regular NAC. Besides enhanced mental focus and increased energy, which are already wonderful benefits, have you noticed any other improvements? Your ability to walk 5.4 km within 50β over a hilly terrain is quite impressive! Iβm looking forward to experiencing similar results. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.ππ
Your age difference is too much. Adjust your doses accordingly.
β@@anjanduttakoirala3023it’s 100mg. The ethyl Ester version of GlyNac uses less due to much higher bioavailability
πthank you very much for the great video! One question: Does glycine alone also cause “reductive oxidative stress” just like NAC taken alone? So: do both have to be taken in a 1:1 supplement ratio? Or can one combine, for example, 10 g glycine and 1.5 g NAC without this risk?
Iβve been on 2000mg a day for around 16 weeks, Iβm 58. The difference it makes is amazing
I switched from liposomal glutathione to GLYNAC and it has made a huge positive impact on my blood pressure. I agree that saturating your blood stream with a powerful antioxidant 24/7 is a BAD thing let your liver do what it does best and sent it where and when it is needed.
I regard the dosages you give for GlyNAC as appropriate doses for just NAC by itself, but insufficient for glycine.
The body utilizes glycine for much more than just building glutathion. Especially for building collagen.
Expert advice tells us that we need at least 10 g a day of glycine.
And since it’s sweet and thus can be used as a sweetener, it’s better and much cheaper to get it as a powder.
Anyone selling GlyNAC in capsules are using the custumers ignorence for profit, in my opinion.
Get NAC in capsules, because it tastes bad. But use glycine as a powder, is my advice.
My dosages is 2.4 g 9f NAC a day, and at least 10 g of glycine.
Related to this is the body’s building collagen. Because collagen is our best source of glycine. But if we take 12 g of hydrolyzed collagen a day to get the amino acids the body needs to build its own collagen, that gives us just about 2 g of glycine.
Furthermore, the body needs some extra glycine when building collagen. So a little more of that is needed also for that.
So the full picture is:
12 g of hydrolyzed collagen.
10 g of glycine.
2.4 g of NAC.
We also get some cysteine from the amino acids in our protein. And of course some glycine too. But that’s not enough, although it keeps you alive.
The researchers dosage of NAC, 100 mg/kg bodyweight was much higher. (8.4 g for me at 84 kg bidyweight). But, given that NAC is only partly cysteine, it’s still a hefty dose. I would like some research on optimal dose here. But their dose of glycine (8.4 g for me) were almost good enough. I would like them to keep it high, while trying lower doses of NAC.
By the way, I’m 75 and could likely need more of NAC than 2.4 g.
I’m giving my dad 5gs of glycine, didn’t be first several weeks the gradually see if I can increase the grams. He has COPD, chronic respiratory condition, knee pain , and high blood pressure and early stage lung cancer. I have seen an uptick in his energy and more the last few days , and look forward to his body healing along with his new diet .
You are taking 12 g hydrolyzed collagen, 10 g glycine, and 2.4 g NAC daily? And is it with meals? Thank you.
i’d try this but even 2g of glycine puts me to sleep (otherwise i have sleep problems), not sure what that’s saying but if i went for 10g i fear i’d be way more sleepy
This is such excellent information! Thank you for sharing the distinction between glutathione and glynac supplementation! I have tried to call several friends attention to this and this is an excellent way to do it! Keep up the great videos, new subscriber here!
Thank you for sharing the dosage!
Excellent,
Thank you! Cheers!
Occasional heavy lifting of my work equipment had caused normal muscle soreness in my upper body. Glycine and Nac ( 1000mg each) once per day after a few weeks, seemed to eliminate that β next dayβ soreness. I took the supplements for 12 weeks , then stopped for 12 more to discern the difference as in the two university studies clinical trials. The muscle soreness came back in the absence of supplements .
This has been the most noticeable positive effect.
Too much glycine can cause loose stool, as did pork rinds ( high in glycine).
Dry skin became less dry; oily skin less oily..
Skin appears better.
Iβm 61 , the recovery after lifting, moving, loading is less. Feel good instead of sore for two days.
The other benefits , may be there although I have not noticed.
I’m a physician. I started GlyNAC a few months ago and noticed improvement in my sleep, mood, energy and concentration literally within days. Skin is smoother, sleep is more refreshing, and wake up now with good mood instead of waking up thinking my sleep wasn’t so great. 2nd week I felt better than the 1st week, 3rd better than the 2nd, and 4th better than the 3rd. From there I plateaued. I’m 51 and feel like I got energy like I did in my late 20s to early 30s. No bad effects. I took Glycine 3g a day, and NAC 600 mg a day, but noticed further improvement when I increased NAC to 600 mg twice daily.
Do you think it can be taken for a long time?
β@526musicfan yes. But sometimes you need to skip a few days
You can eliminate taking so many capsules by buying Glycine in the powder form and mixing it in water or juice. It has a naturally sweet taste. And buying Glycine and NAC separately is far cheaper than buying them already mixed together in capsules.
I am 75 and recently discovered both of these elements. I did confer with my physician for over and hour and said that I should be taking it. I started with one gram each daily for two weeks and am currently taking three grams daily for three weeks. I noticed a significant improvement in my energy levels and endurance. I eventually will increase up to six grams daily of each, based upon my weight of 155 lbs. I Aldo started doing weight and strength training with dumbbells and kettlebells. This is a game changer. Note: I purchased both separately in bulk and mix it in with my protein drink. I feel itβs much better than taking 10 capsules at a time, and is far cheaper!
