Fasting for a few days would be extreme. Fasting from 1pm tuesday to 1pm wednesday would be pretty safe in my opinion

π―% agree. Skinny fat is what will happen. Not to mention the damage with the inside of your body. Drives me crazy when people eat 1400 calories or less every day. It takes about 1300 to 1400 calories just for BASIC BODILY FUNCTIONS.
I am 49 and in very good shape. I do keto since 5 years and i eat one meal a day . I got a lot of lean muscle mass because i am Training with heavy weight and 2 times a week i do cardio . Greetings from Switzerland π

I do 16:8 fast daily and a 24 hour fast once a week β¦. Fasting works well for me. I prefer to work out in a fasted state

Define ‘extreme fasting’ please. Intermittent fasting is currently working for me. I used a smart scale and so far I am losing fat and not muscle mass.
I found I didn’t have enough in the tank to support high intensity exercise. All I could do was a walk when fasting, also my skin went ridiculously dry, and dry eyes, I just couldn’t seem to get the hydration in. Drinking lots also curbed my appetite.
