Why is Fructose so bad for you? It's all in the way it gets metabolized in our body. Table sugar is 1 molecule of glucose and 1 molecule of fructose. Starches are almost all glucose with no fructose. Almost every cell in the body can use glucose, but not fructose, so all the fructose is delivered to the liver for metabolism, where it can lead to fatty liver and insulin resistance. Yup. The moment I stopped eating 2 a day, the weight dropped off. Now I rarely eat fruit and a teeny amount of veg.
I was just being sarcastic about bananas. I love them. Fruit is the best. Just watch your calories intake and you will be fine.
For every food there is someone online telling you it’s bad. Meat is bad, being vegan is bad, cheese is bad, carbs are bad, oils are bad, salt is bad and now fruit is bad.

It’s not just fruits…or all fruits, quite a few vegggues are high in fructans too!
That’s what my oncologist say. You want to lose weight don’t eat fruits . I said what about apple ? Yes you can but in moderation. Fruits are very high in sugar according to my doctor.

@@africangodman6145 highest content of sugar are fruit ending in melon, watermelon for example, grapes has also highest sugar content . So yes . I stop eating those fruits . I love fruits pineapple, anything ends in melon, bananas no wonder I have been putting on so much weight. So when I discovered Dr Jason Fung and Dr Jamnadas I come to realise that yes fasting is the only way to lose weight . I stop the sugar intake and fast . And yes I have lost weight . Without knowing it I fitted on my pants from 20 years ago. I feel lighter . I was 69 kgs then 58 . Haven’t done the 3 days fasting for awhile but doing the intermittent . Whichever one is comfortable just do it. I suppose whatever you do in moderation.

Both pronunciations are considered correct. I prefer the way it is most commonly pronounced, which is how you prefer it be pronounced as well.

Fruit has been breeded over hundreds of years by humans to be sweeter and less fibrous. Fruit is healthy in its natural form, not so healthy in smoothies/juices.
I picked a dozen blackberries a week ago. I picked some last year around this time. Once a year is good for me.
It isn’t that we aren’t evolved to eat and digest it. It’s where it is metabolized (the Liver) since the cells in your body can’t use it for energy like it can glucose. This leads to fatty liver and insulin resistance.

Eat all seasonal fruits! They are good for humans! Dont forget to move around, do physical activity! Then you can eat anything!

Too much fruit is unhealthy. It’s sugar, sugar causes cancer, fruit taxes the liver and gallbladder. Treat fruit like candy bc it is; small amounts occasionally not throughout your day.
Doctor Fung I started doing I.F. again because I want to loose weight and purify my body! On the 3d day I stared getting shaky , nervous , and felt like I couldn’t breathe
That’s called the Keto Flu. It is completely normal. As soon as your body starts to burn fat for energy that will all go away. It’s usually around 3 days for the switch. Hang in.
Drink water with quality salt added, eat a small amount of butter, trust the process ❤

Fruit is fructose. You’re conflating high fructose corn syrup with fruit fructose. Fructose is fructose… your body is going to metabolize it the same exact way. Fructose is no good in any form.
Check Dr Richard Johnson’s lectures about fructose. The main problem is when the liver gets a high dose of fructose quickly. So sodas and fruit juices are the unhealthiest ways to consume fructose. Consuming whole fruits is not as dangerous because the fiber that comes with them help to slow down the absorption of the fructose. Still he recommends being careful with the sweetest fruits like dried fruit and tropical fruits like mangoes and pineapples. Also to be careful with fruits one can overeat like grapes. He suggests eating a small serving of whole lower glycemic fruits at the end of meals so that the fructose content is not very high and it can be absorbed slowly
Treat fruit as candy it’s been hybridized to be more sweet than originally was. Fruit is a treat only. Consume in season not what’s in your market year round. Google when specific fruits are in season in your area then eat accordingly for that duration. ❤
That is why fruits are served in hotels in a small bowls. Example. 2 slices of pineapple, 1/2 slice of mango. Anything fruit.
And now I understand, why some Asians, and I used to pair fruits or dried fruits with Black tea or green tea. Because it helps to lower the effects of insulin spikes.

We’ve been selective breeding all these for excessive sugar content for hundreds of years, nothing like those in the nature we’ve evolved for. I’d stay away from them as much as possible
ALL fruit is loaded with Fructose. Lower fructose fruits are only berries but in small quantities. It’s STILL Fructose sugar.

Berries and Granny Smith apples are an acceptable treat on occasion.

Is not fructose a problem also for mitochondria? Does not the fiber content in whole fruit protect the intestines to absorb fructose i.e pure fruit juice is not good? Pls answer….you are Jesus now ❤❤
