Fascinating. I had bot focused enough on apigenin before. Thank you for bringing it to your viewers’ attention. As always, a concise and highly informative video.

Love your channel – Great content and your format is easy to digest. I would love to hear about your protocol for skin cancer. I know I read about some of the supplements you take. Your longevity book was great – seems I am already taking a few of them. If you ever decide to offer consults I would love some recommendations from your book.

Many thanks for your positive feedback. Where basal and squamous cell are concerned, I would suggest taking a look at Curaderm Bec5. I’ve had amazing results with this product. Also you might be interested to know that the 2nd edition of my Underground Life Extension Handbook will be out at the end of April.

  • @ConnieWobbles says:

This is the first really detailed video on Apigenin I’ve found, and I’ve trawled many longevity channels for info. I’ve been taking Apigenin with the usual NMN supplement stack for a while now, having graduated from dried parsley and chamomile tea. Most of the advice given says to take it on an empty stomach which didn’t seem right given that it has poor bioavailability. The reasoning given was that it competes for absorption with other nutrients. I’ve also now realised my current dosage is far too low at 100g daily. So I appreciate the guidance there, thank you. I was taking the Renue products at first but due to all the changes with USA companies withdrawing from UK retailers, I now use Vitality Pro and DoNotAge products as both are third party tested UK companies. I may have to step up the dried parsley to keep costs down and get back on the chamomile tea to bump up my Apigenin as these longevity supplements all add up. Anyhow, this info is really helpful, thanks.

Parsley is ultra-high in oxalates, so anyone with kidney stones composed of calcium oxalate should probably stay away from the stuff.

      Fix you typo . 100 mg not gram. U wrote 100 g

  • @PsychiatricParfums says:

A study did show NAD+ increase in mice but at 100mg/kg. This is a considerable amount.

  • @shy-guy5544 says:

Very interesting and informative video. You recommended taking apigenin with a fat source so I assume that taking one tablespoon of olive oil before or with a cup of camomile tea would be beneficial. Thanks

  • @ricodelta1 says:

    Great info

  • @drmanhattan225 says:

Thanks for this. I take RBS Lipo NMN so bought some DNA Pure Apigenin to take alongside it.

We use Codeage apigenin. It is a liposomal form of it. We find it quite potent

  • @Nature_whisperer says:

Great video. Couple small details were left out. These details, however, are very important for women and for intake/dosage consideration. Apigenin is a potential phytoprogestine (pub: The Flavonoid Apigenin Is a Progesterone Receptor Modulator with In Vivo Activity in the Uterus, Horm Cancer. 2018 Aug; 9(4): 265–277). It also reduces estrogen, and for that reason might contribute to imbalance of estrogen-to-progesterone ratio. Another finding indicated “slow pharmacokinetics may lead to possible accumulation of this flavonoid in the tissues; elimination half-time of 92 h, which is relatively high” (Apigenin and cancer chemoprevention: Progress, potential and promise, INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ONCOLOGY 30: 233-245, 2007). Even though, apigenin is an amazing supplement and great potential, these additional information should be considered carefully when deciding on dosage and frequency of intake.
