This makes me feel like crying. The global situation is so desperate and yet every day medical professionals are perpetuating the advancement of the disease and contributing to the deterioration of their patients. We need to take a very serious stand against protocols based on flawed studies and profit hungry drug companies.

    • @dowskivisionmagicaloracle8593 says:

Sorry Jason, but fasting when you’re T2DM is anything but easy. You can’t get that “energy” for days of overwhelming hunger due to failure of ketosis. This is because the liver’s gluconeogenesis is in overdrive feeding you carbs whether you want them or not. Even if you do manage to become ketotic by the end of the day you have to start from square one thanks to the dawn effect.

    • @dowskivisionmagicaloracle8593 says:

+Bike Vids They’re not evil, they’re profit-oriented and amoral. The fundamental difference to keep in mind when dealing with them is that they will not do evil if it results in losses (or a risk of losses) to them.

    • @kimberlycooper4170 says:

Bike Vids , I moved my money from a bank to a federal credit union. Credit unions are non-profits. If the credit union has a financial advisor on staff, you can move your non-retirement plan, college education savings account, and non-retirement investment money to the credit union, too.

A lot of investment companies have, like banks, become publicly-traded corporations. Vanguard is one investment company that doesn’t trade its stock on the stock market. Instead, Vanguard sells its stock to its own Vanguard mutual funds. Thus, the clients are also the stockholders. There might be other investment companies that do likewise. I am not a financial advisor. So, do not invest in anything that I say; instead, consult your financial advisor.

4 years ago! I only just found him a couple of months ago. I started working with his program and lost 22 lbs in about 3 weeks, then another 2 lbs last week. I am furious at being told to eat “6 small meals daily” to prevent type 2 diabetes. My mom died from it, needlessly =(

BUT, one major difference is, 3rd world people will kill each other quickly but the 1st world does not kill enemies and usually we just tell lies about them and ruin their status in the view-point of others. • @angienorton7411 says:

I was recently diagnosed with an A1C of 6.6. The dietician told me low carb is not the way to go. My meals are supposed to have total carbs of 40-60 per meal. I have been following the diet and I have lost weight and my blood sugars have been good. My doc wanted to put me on Metformin and I had said that I would rather try with diet and exercise first before going on meds. She is giving me 3 months, retest my A1C and fasting blood. I have been researching low carb and I wonder why they are so against it when it has shown to help people more than the traditional recommendations. I think that a lot of the time, the pharmaceutical industry plays a huge role in how we as patients are being treated.

    • @ivermec-tin666 says:

Alopathy is a captured industry. To suggest a regimen that is not the “standard of care” is to risk your medical license and your practice.

The Banting diet was created by an obese diabetic mortician in Britain. He practiced the diet, lost weight, put his diabetes into remission, wrote the book, and lived to a ripe old age. Banting is the ketogenic diet.

Your carb intake is 3x too high for a ketogenic diet. Your dietician and your md have other considerations than your health. It’s sad but true. Your diet, and your health is in your hands alone.

    • @camgere says:

I got pretty much the same advice about carbs. In my case it was 35 grams of carbs per meal (no more, no less) and a 15 g. carb snack before bed. I thought is odd because it didn’t seem to be tied to my current weight. There are petite women who weigh half of what I do. The same number of carbs, really? Absolutely nothing about eliminating pasta, pastry, pancakes, bread, corn, potatoes and French fries. I can eat (plain) hamburger, steak, eggs, olive oil, cheese, cabbage, kale and Brussel sprouts and my blood sugar is fine. Even worse, advice wise, insulin turns excess blood sugar to fat (unless you are an athlete or Amazon Fulfillment Center worker) and prevents you from burning fat for fuel. The insulin cure is likely to make you fatter and require more insulin. Good, if you are the pusherman. A last choice strategy in my opinion.

    • @magsm.9305 says:

Low carb was never discussed when I was diagnosed 18 years ago…I followed the low fat/”good carb” endocrinologist prescribed meal plan and gained, then they just added meds. Dr Jason Fung, Dr. Sarah Hallberg, and Dr Ken Berry and coaxing by my brother got my on Keto. Less than seven months later my A1c dropped from 11.0 to 7.0!! 18 years of Drugs and bad advice. I’m sticking with lowcarb/highfat & intermittent fasting forever. Any plan that gets my morning fasting glucometer readings down from 299 to 109 is nothing short of miraculous. (And angry? You betcha especially for the first three months as both sugars and weight dropped without effort. )
Now.. no insulin, no victoza, no invoccana and I’ve cut my last drug to a quarter dose..soon to be drug free!

    • @Lynnefromlyn says:

In the uk few dieticians are honest enough to face up to the fact they have been getting it wrong all these years. Not their fault, the food pyramid is upside down, the Low Fat industry has persuaded everyone to cut out fat. But they really should face up to the fact that those two diabetes is a condition where we cannot metabolise carbohydrates…for reasons of insulin resistance. So what is the blasted point of giving us diets full of the very things which are making us ill? 🤬

    • @wennw2711 says:

As far as I understood, low carb is ok but not Keto. So if you eat below 150g carb a day, it is fine for your body and good for your glucose level.

  • @ganeshlone5319 says:

    Thank you.
I am diabetic for last 5 yrs. I have started immediately 24 hrs fasting . This is my 3rd day of fasting sugar checked found 76 before dinner in evening after dinner 137.
I was scared for dowing the fasting as was warned by my doctor. I have informed my colleague at work and at home to take care of me.
After fasting 24 hrs for last two days I am feeling much energetic.
    Thank you very much.

    • @seekingthetruth7047 says:

But still, there are something that Fung’s suggestions don’t cover. Fung’s therapy covers only who are diabetic due to insuline resistance, hyperinsilinema or obesity. But unfortunately, there are many patients who were never obese but get type-2 diabetes. His policy doesn’t cover beta cell dysfunction. He said insulin resistance causes beta cell dysfunction afterwards. And beta cell dysfunctions happen only when fat infiltration into pancreas. But I believe fat infiltration into the pancreas is not the only source of causation. There could involve other causes such as inflammation, autoimmunity (yeah like type1), lack of raw vegetables etc.

    • @Gspsx says:

@@skm60016 It’s difficult to do in a comment, I’ll give it a try. We become resistant to insulin (type 2) because we have too much. Your goal should be to lower insulin production and insulin spikes. anything you eat will cause a spike of insulin, but carbohydrates have the most impact and raise insulin the most. Cut out carbs, they’re the source of constant hunger, cravings, and weight gain. Next, lower the frequency of eating. This means fasting. Start with 3 or 4 meals a day and cut back to 2 or even 1. No snacking at all.

When you eat, eat whole foods with fiber. stay away from processed foods. If it has more than 5 ingredients avoid it. You’ll have to educate your self on all the crap they put in our food supply and cut out what you can . It’s not easy, but anything worth doing isn’t easy. I’m over 2 years in and still in remission. We don’t tolerate carbs well that’s why we became diabetic. come to peace with the fact that your life will need to change and you have to give up some of the carby goodness you’re used to. If not, you’ll end up loosing parts of your body before you’re gone.

Read DR Fung’s books. Look up Eric Berg and Robert Lustig here and listen to their message.

I am not a patient of Dr fungs but I found him after an officer put me up for a medical evaluation to keep my driver’s licence, my blood sugar was 300 and my blood pressure was 165/110 and my A1C was 9.5 . My doctor said he could not allow me to drive and notified DMV and they took my license away. One month later after starting Dr Fungs extreme fasting last Friday I saw my doctor again to be reevaluated again and my A1C was 7.2 and my blood pressure is down to 130/80 and my doctor has reversed his decision so I’m getting my license back very soon. PS I’ve lost 20 LBS in the process.
Thank you Dr Fungs for what you’ve done to save our home on wheels our motorhome. My wifes gone blind and am the only driver. With his situation in the hinterlands, scarcity of food, no medication, dragging period of ransom negotiation, he suddenly was relieved of his diabetes and high blood pressure. What a blessing!
