  • @Brandoni65 says:

    Excellent video on Astaxanthin!

  • @LauraPazzaglia says:

I ordered some Astaxanthin before watching your video (and, of course, I got the 12mg). I am currently taking Ubiquinol q10, Alpha Lipoic Acid – R, Omega 3, and slow-release Vitamin C – since Astaxanthin is so much more powerful than all of these in it’s anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, neuro- and heart- protective, would it be a good idea to phase them out? Am also taking Vitamin B Complex, Hyaluronic Acid, Ashwaganda (but I understand that these cannot be replaced). I’m really excited about the prospect of slimming down the number of pills and euros I’m downing. Ciao from Italy! L

    • @theantiagingchannel says:

Hi Laura, Ubiquinol, ALA, and Omega 3 are great choices. Unfortunately astaxanthin will not replace them. I’m not a big fan of Vitamin C supplements.. Other than the vit C present in my daily multivitamin, I prefer to get the majority of my vit C from food. Hope that helps! New video coming next week, so check back soon 🙂

  • @nitinraika1987 says:

    Thanks

  • @kishanvarma711 says:

    Fantastic

  • @rohankapoor2822 says:

    Soo good

  • @GizmoFromPizmo says:

Japanese studies used 12mg over 3-months to see the best results. I’m going to do that and then maybe cut back to a lower dose.

    • @user-uj8eb2ef4l says:

12 mg is an extremely high dose, 4 mg is much more than enough

    • @GizmoFromPizmo says:

@@user-uj8eb2ef4l – Depending on the deficiency, we either start out with a very high dose and then scale back or we start out with a low dose to get the body used go dealing with it and scale up. I have found astaxanthin very effective. I have reduced the dosage since my initial post and now I’m on a maintenance dose of 3 or 4 mg per day. Also, I cycle all supplements by going off them for a few days and then resuming.

    • @pierrejeanes says:

@@user-uj8eb2ef4lFlamingo don’t know about ml,mg, UI, and they live long for its size there is repor of one that lived 83 years while for is size and weight other birds live around 15 years

    • @pkavics9182 says:

Any uptades please? I am about to start my journey with this, you feeling any different taking astaxanthin?

    • @GizmoFromPizmo says:

@@pkavics9182 – I’m feeling so normal, I can’t tell how well this supplement is doing. I’m still taking it although not every day. Once you build it up in your system then you can dial it back.

I’m taking the Doctor’s Best brand.

One other thing: Since I posted that a year ago, I’ve had an ablation procedure, where they go into your heart and burn the nerves that are causing the AFIB. This was the third time and this time, it really worked well.

So, I’m doing really well – heart wise. I’ve put on a lot of weight, however. I’m not sure what that’s all about. They’ve also changed my heart meds so there are a lot of variables going on at the same time.

But the Astaxanthin did make a difference. I’m doing so well, I don’t know how well I’m doing. That sounds odd to say. I feel normal? If that makes any sense.

  • @youtubeuser1105 says:

I’ve been taking 12mg of astaxanthin for a few years since Rhonda Patrick said studies show that the fox03 longevity gene doesn’t get activated until a 12mg dose is used. Has this information changed/been updated?

    • @ryokan9120 says:

There was a study that demonstrated that astaxanthin had very poor absorption (I think it was just 10%), so it makes sense to go for a higher dosage.

    • @delaslight says:

Have you notice any obvious improvements or side effects with a high dose?

P.s. you can activate the logevity grne with proper meditation

    • @youtubeuser1105 says:

@delaslight  No side effects that I am aware of. Can’t tell if it’s doing anything. However, I am approaching middle age and still have near perfect eyesight, so maybe it is helping to prevent macular degeneration. When I gave an astaxanthin supplement designed for dogs to my elderly dog, the cloudiness in her eye lenses cleared up.

    • @delaslight says:

@@youtubeuser1105 wow! This is amazing! What brand did you get for your dog? I’m gonna get it for my dog!
      Thank you!

    • @youtubeuser1105 says:

@delaslight  It was a supplement called Safe-Sea, by Four Leaf Rover. It contains green lipped mussel, ahiflower and extra virgin olive oil as well. Unfortunately, they stopped shipping to the UK due to some sort of new regulations, so I can’t get it any longer sadly. However, if you are in the USA or Canada, you can get it 😄.

  • @Leoninmiami says:

    thanks for the great info.

  • @jenxsj3902 says:

I am going to take 20-40 mg daily because I want to be as brown as Donatella. Mahogany brown.

  • @user-fe1yp1zv2h says:

Thank you this is great information

  • @staceygantt1119 says:

I’m going to get my supplement today. I really hope it can help with this mold cognitive decline 😖

  • @louiseschuler6163 says:

    This sounds amazing!
If 6x stronger than vitamin C would I still need to take them?

  • @paulcohen6727 says:

    Is Nutricost a good brand?

  • @johnnysfunzone743 says:

This supplement is one of a few that helped get triglycerides and HDL to amazing levels such that the TRIG/HDL ratio is slightly less than 1.0.
