Let me check out your videos. Just dx with type II diabetes and I don’t want to take the medication.
it works. i was up to a 5 on the sugar scale and knocked it back down to 4 with intermittent fasting. one meal a day at noon-ish is actually easy. after the first couple of days i actually didn’t feel hungry and my mental clarity saw this as a reason for that clarity.
Hello from upstate NY
Started yesterday again. Thank you for all the shared knowledge and tools.
You rock doctor Fung
Thank you
I have only 2 meals a day, jump breakfast. And have dinner early & light. Zero industrialized foods, and alcohol just once each 2 months. Also, pro and pre biotics, natual fiber, EVOO, almost zero carbohydrates, good protein, and…gym 5x/week.
I was pre-diabetic, now I’m ok, and Dr. Fung tips were certainly one of the pillars of healing and feeling great.
Mom has it. Had to sneak stuff into her food.
People are trying to get medical insurance to pay for ozempic. You know how much fasting costs?
thank you, dr. fong. i never feel after watching you that you’re trying to shame me out of an unhealthy lifestyle, that you’re discussing why that style is not so good for me and that you have an alternative — if i want to follow your advice. i’ve been following you for what seems like years and i’m lazy but still have your advice knocking on my head as a wake-up.
Three weeks completed week 3 of my planned 3 month keto OMAD regime. All my clothes are looser already. Worth mentioning that the first symptom of a keto diet is that you no longer feel hungry. So intermittent fasting is no longer a battle of willpower against natural urges to eat, but rather, needing to remember to eat !
Will OMAD be enough to vastly improve everything for most people in a pure carnivore diet? Meat (mostly beef, a lot of chicken, some pork), butter, bacon, sausage, water (only drink).
I’ve listened to you and Colleen Marie for the past two weeks. The practical and scientific information I’ve received has been invaluable!
Thank you Dr Fung ♥️ 🙏🏽
I cured my Tp2 diabetes by cutting out the carbs , seed oils and using intermittent fasting
You changed my life. I was on multiple diabetes meds and threatened to start insulin. I started fasting and lost over 100 lbs over the years. No longer type 2. No one but you suggested alternatives
You are so understandable
Is sea salt a good substitute for store-bought electrolytes? Thanks Dr you’re the best!!!!!!!🙋🏼♂️
I didn’t see the safe type of magnesium or safe dose.
Once I discovered my diabetes was diet related. I changed my diet variety of food, portions, and feeding events.
It took eight months because I didn’t want to trigger my bodies starvation response.
Now I’m off all medication.
However, I now have wings below my biceps.
It’s worth the ugly scarecrow look just to be off the medication.
I’m at an 8 hour window, but my goal is six, and a fat-free liver.
How low is a safe bet in time with the fasting to have a completely regenerated fat-free liver?
Does sugar free gum and herbal tea affect fast?
It didn’t help me. At first I weighed 83 kg. When I found out I had diabetes I immediately went on a very strict (keto) diet and fasting. I ate 3 times a day (8am, 1pm, 6pm). Nothing in between (just water or green tea). Portions were very small. Now I weigh 57 kg, but I have to take strong medications because without them my glucose level (fasting) will not go below 180 mg/dl.
I am very disappointed that this method did not work for me…
What is your Insulin level? If Insulin is already low this method will not work.
I know a lot about diabetes 2 and the diet for it. Also i know a lot of fasting. (i make once 31 day without food and every year i water fast at list 10 days. Every day i fast 18 hours (one meal at day but a little bigger meal )My diabetes is still here and its not so god. (not using insulin or drugs)
