Dressing with Purpose, Not for Trends
At a certain point, your style should reflect who you are and what you value, not just what’s popular on social media. There’s nothing wrong with dressing in a way that feels authentic, even if it doesn’t fit someone else’s idea of what you should wear.
Style isn’t about age—it’s about alignment. 👗✨ How do you dress to reflect your lifestyle?
What a rude comment
It’s also ignorant and lacks observation. This creator dresses intentionally and knows classic simplicity in style. A good eye can spot quality fabrics and construction. Why are people insisting we all dress for the under 25 crowd? That would be weird.
@bubbles.stu26 the comment was clearly made by someone very insecure and lacking in self identity. It’s very “I’m not racist, BUT” because it absolutely lacks any aelf-awarenwss.
hi! i’m 29 and look very young, and also AM very young for my job/industry (most of my office peers are late 30s+). i often watch your videos really admiring your looks because you look very adult and sophisticated. i love your style, clothes, hair, glasses, makeup, and i really aspire to learn from your look!
Thank you! I’m your age, and I always find it weird when people try to compliment me and say “omg, don’t worry, you don’t look your age, you look 28!” Why wouldn’t I want to look my age, wtf is wrong with being in your 30’s? I find it to be a far superior decade, haha.
We’ve always been obsessed with anti-aging, but it seems to have gotten worse lately. Idk if it’s social media, or the resurgence of misogyny, or maybe people feel like they’re behind in life in terms of life goals and money, so they’d like to pretend they’re 10 years younger to compensate? Idk, it’s weird. I don’t aspire to be a 20 something in my future, I aspire to be a badass 40 something.
I looove being in my 30’s! You’re still fresh and active, fully independent and ideally not broke anymore 😀
Samesies
Americans are obsessed with youth. Which is weird since when you’re young you hardly know anything much but are utterly convinced of the reverse…
I don’t mind. being with young people but then sometimes I want to scream because of the guileless arrogance.
@@deborahcurtis1385 Just Americans? I don’t think that’s true, have you had much exposure to Asian culture?
Love your channel! Thank you!
I can’t get the ‘click the comment’ thing to work so I’m not sure what the original outfit was, but from the use of ‘style’ instead of ‘dress’ I assumed the comment was referring to the Tortoiseshell glasses pattern. Though that may just be as I’ve always associated them with my grandmother’s friends and older people.
I never even thought about how old you are – to me, what is striking is that you look professional in a down to earth way, so I feel like I can take financial advice from you without questioning your qualifications or intentiones.
I think what this question implies us that you do not wear revealing clothes, “sexy” = young, “modest” = old. I had such comments made to me untill my 50, than they stopped😅.
You dress like a mid 30s office professional because you *are* a mid 30s office professional
Literally, it’s wild lmao

Besides im not sure i’d want a financial expert to be serving berlin nightclub party looks while she suggests i get a pension and a 401k
I think the sensible outfits work for you
You appear “dressed older” because you clearly have a practical comfortable sense of fashion, which people tend to associate with older people. It is a credit to you that you’ve gotten over doing dumb things to fit in faster than is usual.
I am dressing down now but i this is depression. I used to be very fashionable and I know my quality and brands. However, Now I wear the same j crew oulets pants with my hiking boots because I am too tired to be cold in an office. I just change sweaters and I look like an office lady who doesn’t care. I went back to an office to do a job I could do remotely and lost a lot in the last three years so there is that. I stopped wearing makeup too. My skin looks better but I did it simply because I didn’t care….. I don’t care.
@@caputmedusa4234 I’ve found this to be true also. You get a new perspective with life – fashion and trends are something to enjoy, but not what’s important.
35 is not even approaching middle age. If you are close to 40 or above, 35 is young! That said, thank you for your ever insightful comments.
I would say it is considered approaching middle age especially if you think about 35 being way closer to 40 than to 25. Yes 35 is young relatively speaking but it’s still only 5 years from 40. I’m turning 35 this year and I feel I could relate to 40 year olds more so than 20 something yr olds including the late 20 something yr olds.
Your style is SO good on you. You’re giving everything that you intend to give. It fits you so well.
You are darling. What the heck with comments. You do you. Don’t change a thing. I don’t care if you dress to look 35, or 65 , Again, you do YOU! And ignore those who are so petty as to b*tch about your look.
The question you were responding to has to be the most laughably mean-girl dis I’ve ever seen. Do you think she was kidding? I gotta think she was kidding.
No, I think she was intentionally being mean but pretending not to be. It was gross and made by a VERY insecure person.
bro she doesn’t look older than 35 with her clothes LOL
I always think that you look stylish and classy
As someone who actually is older at age 59, I don’t think your style skews older. I think your style of dress is elegant and classic. Over the years, I learned to aim towards classic because I’m only five feet tall and I’m also nearly as slim as I was in high school. It seems being short and slim gives the impression of being younger. I had to learn to dress in a way that spoke “maturity” without looking like I was “playing dress-up” like a child wearing mommy’s clothes.
My outfits may skew older because I want to keep wearing those items when I’m older
That comment is so rude 😭😭😭
