Louder for the people in the back 👏🏻

  • @LeahSalmon says:

    Well said hun

  • @ejhaqqi6480 says:

🙌🏻 YES!!! I wish more people thought this way!!

  • @PokhrajRoy. says:

This was a much needed video so thank you!

Also, there are people who love to act ‘relatable’ but fulfil the wealthy status markers that you mention.

    • @LylaKittn says:

The alleged relatability is what’s wild to me. There’s another YouTuber named Nicky Reardon who has a video about relatability and authenticity and he talks about creators (he uses Emma Chamberlain as an example) who gain notoriety for being authentic and relatable but the paradox is that as they gain more notoriety for that they start to lose it. But it would be weird to think that someone who has amassed wealth to not actually use it.

    • @Lau3464l says:

@@LylaKittn I have a weird anecdote to share, my cousins wife was a personal assistant for a billionaire a while back (legitimately a billionaire), and said billionaire didn’t wear fancy labels, drove a nice car but nothing overly flashy or new (I think a Lexus from like 10 years prior), and always flew economy. My cousins wife would book her flights but never asked why on earth she never flew at least business… I’m still not sure what she did with all that money

    • @carpediem44 says:

@@Lau3464l I’ve read that serious old money seek total anonymity. They are the anti-Kardashians.

What they’re doing with their money……?

  • @LylaKittn says:

STAND UP!! For real!! I was just thinking about this this morning and came up with a list of things that the privileged wealthy are necessarily out of touch about because of this separation, and why it’s actually very dumb that they are in charge of anything as a result. Some of those things are harsh, but that doesn’t make them less true – it’s actually why it’s very important.

  • @lb3659 says:

I can see avoiding people as a necessity for ultra famous people who get recognized and followed but it’s pretty obnoxious to expect this if you are just wealthy and not famous

  • @user-op9ti5ns2w says:

99% of people are closer to a being a homeless person than a rich person.

  • @lusy_aaltje says:

The wealthy ones I know in my life are humble enough to interact with everybody and I’m grateful for that. Some of them live below their means and just mingle with everybody. I do agree with you. SIMPING for them? Absolutely NO!!!

  • @wildmooseking says:

Not having to deal with the poors is literally why all of these rich NYC Influencers drive their cars in the least car-friendly parts the city. Most of them are terrified to ride the subway because they have this cartoonish idea of how dangerous the 2 train is at 4PM. 😂

    • @NotACat2237 says:

This blew my mind when we visited NYC. We stayed of course in the touristy area close to Broadway. The amount of people trying to drive through Time Square blew my mind. Why? We took the subway up and down to see Central Park and different touristy places. I could not understand why people complain about the subway. It was super convenient. Nobody bothering anybody. Just normal people going about their normal lives. It really is no wonder that a lot of the super wealthy are weird and awkward. They don’t interact with other people in a normal way ever.

    • @AuntieMamies says:

@@NotACat2237they’re also often psychopaths. Which when you spend your days having to deal with people can make you really charming but once they’re isolated they just deteriorate

  • @overtremendouslyblah says:

I have a job where the CEO has a private jet that we use for work trip. It sounds like i have a high-paying job, but i make 60,000 per year, just to clarify. Anyway, it is an insane experience. You just walk into the airport with no TSA and the pilots take your bags. You literally just walk right on the plane. And there is free parking right by the door.

  • @aleleeinnaleleeinn9110 says:

That isolation is what suburbia and those nicer houses all end up keeping THEM out. NOt necessarily by intention, but that is how it works. Different schools, mostly.

  • @marinaramalho says:

OMG, you just gave me the one liner I need to end a lot of annoying conversations these days. Thank you!

  • @Genevieve_vds says:

    A much needed message

  • @leahrossow8527 says:

When explaining why he needs a private jet, (obscenely wealthy) televangelist Kenneth Copeland described flying commercial as “flying in a long tube with a bunch of demons.”

And people keep giving him their money.

  • @danielvillarreal6610 says:

I think this is the first time I’ve ever encountered the verb “to simp!”

  • @tm6408 says:

Those with more wealth tend to be less empathetic and it makes sense that this would be in direct relation to how much they interact with others.

  • @civail5699 says:

I’m not a sociologist but I’ve always thought that separation is one of the largest contributors to the empathy gap. I feel more part of my community when I take the bus. I think it’s important to not isolate yourself, lest you forget where and who you are.
