Thank you for having the bravery to spread this truth and speak out even when your voice must have shook.
Above all else thank you for caring so much about the human race and showing us how to heal from the propaganda, deception and processed GARBAGE FOOD we are force fed by the media & “experts” about how to eat a “healthy” “balanced” “diet”.

hello Dr Fung… i have a terrible hunger problem and when it hits i HAVE TO eat, it can happen anywhere from 2 – 4 hours after the last time i ate… and if i fast 24 hours, i fall down and hurt myself the next morning with HUGE nausea to go with it… i so badly want to lose weight, but i don’t know how, i’ve tried everything, help!!?!?!?!?

    • @robertmitchell8630 says:

I am not a medical doctor or studied diets etc just did business school

However I had similar issues starting off

Consider fermented foods , add pickles olives sauerkrauts and kefir drink and if you can handle some apple cider vinegar with honey before bedtime

The issue was a gut issue the processed foods sugars etc the bad microbes is dominant over the good a skew in the balance now it takes a month or two before the re balancing and replinishing of the good microbes and the hunger naturally curbs ,the issue is an abortion issue hence the hunger cravings so early after meals

On the fasting take baby steps when I started I barely did eight hours then I would drink or eat some low carb foods like pickles nuts steam veggies with butter and continue the fast
      It just the buildings blocks
If you suffer after twenty four hours you may need to take more baby steps
God 🙏 bless and all the success

Absolutely works, I lost 62lbs during covid, I also walked almost daily for about an hour. Best I have ever done for myself.

Wow well done that is awesome!

That’s great! What schedule did you do?

    • @GUIDE_Nico says:

@Frey Feked great work! Thanks for your testimony. This is something I saw as a Trainer.
I was telling people to do what I was told in University and I was not doing those things, I was eating for my activity and eating when I was hungry.
It very hard for my clients to lose.
Some folks in fitness industry guilt the Trainers into Not to show things that help. They only encourage what you were told in school.
They’d say ‘you are going to get in a lawsuit if you say something other than what University told you”

I inadvertently helped my 300 lb elderly husband with dementia fast and improve his labs. Because of his dementia, he would sleep 16 hours or more. I feed him when he wakes up (and I often wake him up at 16 hours). Of course I watch his carbs because he is a type 2 diabetic. And recently I have been able to put him on the porch (for sunshine…natural vitamin D in addition to the D I give him).

After a year, we finally got into his Dr and his A1c was 6.1 and cholesterol was down 300 pts (without a statin). It was unintentional but now I am doing in intentionally!

He had gotten more alert, holds his urine better and is stronger! Who knew?

We’re fasting not only because we want to lose weight but also to develop our self-discipline, self control and self-respect. Those aspects are REALLY important. Best of luck to all of you!😍

I found your video explaining insulin resistance. I am one of those that medication, metformin, was no longer working and my doctor wanted to put me on insulin. Since January I could not bring my sugar levels below 200. So for one week I tried your fasting method and my sugar levels are normal. I slowly got off metformin and I feel mentally better, plus so much more.. thank you Dr. Fung. You have given me hope and I’m so much happier 💗

    • @christiansoldier9 says:

@@johncomfort9161 I’m not overweight. I know that the medications & wrong eating caused the insulin resistance, memory loss, neuropathy on my feet. Now I am feeling so much better; memory sharper, stomach not hurting, neuropathy on feet has no more pain and so much more.

Please be aware metformin depletes VitB12. Check your B12 with an Active B12 test. Not a serum test.

Down 62 lbs in 6 months by fasting and eating plant based diet. Cholesterol 114. Thank you Dr Fung!!!!

  • @DDee-oi6kn says:

I have tried every “diet” in the world. I started fasting May 6 of this year and I’m not sure how much I have lost – but it is surely over 20 pounds and maybe 30. I am down to my high school size and in junior sizes. I’m 70 years old and am pre-diabetic. Haven’t had my blood work yet, but I believe it will be much better. I will eat this way forever. I was snacking all day long prior to starting the fasting – I felt sluggish and tired. Plus with grocery prices and eating only once a day – I’m saving a lot of money!

    • @meriharary says:

I’ve had a similar experience. I’m 53 and lost 30 lbs by fasting about 18 hrs a day from around 8/9 PM till around 2/3 PM. I also follow Weight Watchers points. I’m 5’1” and weigh 114. Size 1/3 juniors. I feel like a teenager! Good luck with your continued success!!

    • @DDee-oi6kn says:

@@meriharary Congrats Meri – I feel so much better since I lost the weight. I have to say, if a person doesn’t have willpower, this probably won’t work for them.

@@mindyourbusiness302 I won’t know till next year when I get my blood work done – I hope so too! Plus I drink cinnamon tea before I eat and that may help also.

Thank you Dr. Fung for your excellent advice & info! I am a 37 year old 6 feet tall man from Louisiana, USA. Your online videos saved & improved my life! I suffered with obesity since childhood and tried countless diets but always regained. Until finding your videos and starting 20-4 intermittent fasting on 9/22/21 on that very day I found your videos. In about 14 months, I’ve dropped from 362 to currently 205, 157 pounds & still losing. My ultimate goal is to be near 150 pounds or somewhere between 150-175 I think will be most comfortable for my body. This is a true transformation and I have learned things about myself that I never knew during this journey. Thank you again for all you’ve done and continue to do. Best wishes.

I’ve been doing Keto and following IF for about 6 weeks. I’ve lost 13lbs. I usually follow 18:6 or as close to it as I can. It’s changed my relationship with food completely. I don’t have cravings or bloating, and if I feel weak I watch documentaries about processed food or obesity. It really helps and hoping for more results as time goes on. It is truly a mind Vs belly battle.
