What a time to be AI!

  • @pandoraeeris7860 says:

Yah, but when are we going to get it?

    Google never releases anything…

    • @yak-machining says:

It’s just for demonstration or research purposes

    • @generichuman_ says:

Why does everybody think that when something cutting edge is created, they should get free instant access to it? When CERN discovered the Higgs boson were you mad because they didn’t deliver a particle accelerator to your door so you could use it too?

    • @CamAlert2 says:

@@generichuman_ Average layman doesn’t know or care about a “Higgs-Boson”

    • @fluffsquirrel says:

@@generichuman_True, but we’re talking about data, not particle physics. Truth is, just like with computing, crazy things thought only to happen in laboratories are now possible at home, as several YouTubers have demonstrated.
I mean, consumer-grade GPUs outperform the best compute of the 20th century, so why not run software on it that would lead to a better user experience?
Sooner or later, open source is gonna catch up anyway, so they might as well attach their company name to this new tech instead of some github repo project.

  • @fishygaming793 says:

This is EXACTLY what i tought of what could be done in the near future!

  • @TheAkdzyn says:

This technology is evolving exponentially and impressively. Ai is proving to be one of the most powerful interference technologies. It just explodes when it touches any industry.

  • @too_oden2199 says:

This is the pathway to unlimited interactions with NPCs once the word an speaking models are up to par + real time AI animation generation for emotes, I can already see how incredible the future of games will be from this

  • @lilpain1997 says:

This stuff is actually insane to see. Its kinda scary though lol, just how fast we are advancing in this stuff.

  • @VirtualRealityMixedReality says:

This channel fixes my itch for cutting edge tech news

  • @teamredstudio7012 says:

I was expecting this… but not this fast!??!? Super exciting, I hope this rate keeps going!

  • @АлексейЛогинов-ж1ц says:

I understand all the excitement around ai, but… I dont see it making an interest original game without some serious human direction , wether thought model tuning or just human control and input

  • @bzikarius says:

Here I see good potential for «understanding of space/structure». As far as network can restore shapes according memory

  • @philguer4802 says:

This is amazing but the bluriness kills me and the fact you can move around in it just make it more cursed.
Not enjoyable at all but an incredible breaktrough it seems.

  • @Hallykon says:

while im excited to see where this tech goes, unfortunately AI is already finding its way into modern games and its making developers far lazier, and leading to worse games.

  • @RobnGG says:

This is an important step to train sophisticated AI that specialize in specific game features. Add them to net of each other and you have a dev team that can pump out DLC with context every week, not every 6 months.

  • @AdvantestInc says:

The concept of using AI to build unlimited counterfactual scenarios is fascinating. It not only revolutionizes gaming but also has the potential to streamline AI development in robotics and predictive modeling. The implications are immense.

  • @ristopoho824 says:

I want to see something like Twitch plays AI. Just. The game playing AI endlessly wandering in the AI generated world. While the world shifts around as the AI forgets things and comes up with new ones. Even better if the directions the playing AI goes for are either voted by the chat like Twitch plays Pokemon. Or just generate the directions too. Just. Letting it fudge around and find out.

Oasis looked like a fever dream. This is a bit more consistent but let it run longer and there is bound to be some delightful weirdness.

  • @revengefrommars says:

3:38 impressed that the mirror worked.

  • @yasunakaikumi says:

to me I feel like this should be incorporate with a game engine that holds all of the game logic and telling what the AI should draw on the screen, so it acts like a render engine rather than doing its own logic, I think this will solves almost all of the rendering problem that we current have in games i.e. heavy shaders to compute and unlimited polygons without having fps drops anymore, and even fluid and smoke simulation will be pretty much easy because of it.

  • @OrniasDMF says:

This is the wildest TMP video I’ve ever seen. It just keeps pumping out insane features.
We just have to hope that Google doesn’t shelve it like so many other projects.

  • @markmuller7962 says:

We might reach complete realism with AI games before traditional games.

I really hope they’ll train the model on real world footage as well!

  • @CastleRene says:
