How on earth did you know I was having an existential crisis today about turning 30 in April. 😥

  • @EliQ3 says:

I’m turning 28 in Dec. and this is completely hitting

  • @EYTSIRHC1 says:

When I was a CNA, I bought cheap shoes from Wal-Mart and Stuff and they were uncomfortable and my feet hurt and my knees hurt and my back hurt and then I bought actual nursing shoes and they lasted a long time and I wasn’t in pain and I wasn’t getting massages and adjustments.

I turned 50 this summer and still don’t feel “old.” Though I have been actively reminding myself that given overall family history I am over halfway through life. Which means I am making sure even moreso to do all the things I want to do and stop saying later or maybe someday.

I turn 29 in March so looking forward to watching this series before I hit my new decade!!

I’m 32 as of this September, but turning 30 was really a slap in the face. It was a completely unceremonious day, puncuated by nothing but a trip to the DMV to renew my license and tags. The one friend I had made plans with to celebrate bailed on me, and my family all live out of state and are pretty emotionally distant, so I really had to sit with myself and think about many of the things you mentioned here, from who I choose to associate with, to what my future would hold in terms of career and finances. Your segment about inertia is truly on point, since it took a lot of struggling through repeated disappointments and the universe going from wispering to shaking my shoulders and screaming in my face to make a lot of important changes. I’m happy to say that in just two years, virtually everything in my life has turned around for the better, and although it didn’t come without some serious trials or any cost, I don’t have so many regrets or hangups about my choices now.

Now that I’m leaving my 30s, it’s been fantastic! Establishing financial discipline early is crucial. You’ll likely have more disposable income, but also increased financial responsibilities.

I’m turning 30 in a little less than a month, thank you for this 🥺

  • @Bri.510 says:

Omg!! The advice on jeans!! I literally got so depressed from trying on multiple pairs of jeans the other day because none worked. Excited to try this advice! Also, another great video! Really appreciated! Thank you! 🙂

just turned 30. Due to circumstances out of my control, I had to start over from scratch at the beginning of this year. New career, new city, new home and zero savings. only thing that I can say is a big plus is I am almost have no debts. This channel is really a big factor in the fact that I am somewhat confident that I can still make it and achieve any financial goals even though I feel I am having a really late start compared to other people I know.
    Thanks Chelsea. ❤TFD

    I’m 35 today and I first started feeling young when I turned 30 😊

  • @LauraSomeNumber says:

I started sewing at 35 it’s become my favourite thing.
I just made my first pair of jeans and I feel powerful.

  • @milikoshki says:

Dude, people in their 30s complaining about being old is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. I got hit by a car at 28 and experienced true fragility for the first time. I am really grateful I experienced the contrast between healthy and injured so starkly, because I learned such a deep appreciation for everything my body can do and how valuable it is, mentally, physically, emotionally, to be as fit as you’re able. Without the shocking before/after experience, I’m not sure I wouldn’t just become a victim of the slow decline into a sedentary life where every year comes with an additional few kg of fat replacing muscle. I heard someone say their traumatic injury and recovery was a preview of old age, and I couldn’t agree more. It’s so important to stave off fragility and not think that vitality and fitness are things you have no control over. Coming back from being so broken, I can vouch for the body’s incredible ability to reverse damage and get strong. At 34, I am the fittest I’ve ever been and I feel better than I did at 24, physically and mentally. Even considering the limitations I have as a result of my injuries.

I am turning 30 in a few weeks. Thank you for the compasionate and balanced advice. I felt disappointed for not doing better financially and not being able to reach certain milestones

  • @ThatAlbatrosser says:

Thank you for being so mindful and respectful about the fact that entering your 30s does not necessarily mean you’re at a certain stage financially. I needed that ❤

  • @crystalhenderson4542 says:

I’ll be 26 in March and I really appreciate what you said about all of being in your 20’s feeling messy. I’ve been really stressing myself out about being over halfway through this decade of my life and feeling so behind from what I had envisioned for myself. But it’s very refreshing and helpful to know it’s totally okay to not have life entirely figured out yet.

  • @paytenbeene625 says:

Thank you, Chelsea, for touching on physical health! It is absolutely central to overall well-being.

  • @paulinanarvaez8317 says:

As a 26 year old more recently I started thinking more and more about where I would like to be financially when I’m 30. I’ve made some huge shifts, but anywho- I deeply appreciate this kind of content. Thank you!
