I wonder what Alan Turing would think. We’ve definitely pushed the goal post for what machine consciousness is.

    • @BlakeEM says:

I was able to sometimes fool people with rudimentary chat bots back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, since they didn’t understand the technology. It’s the same with the newest ones, easy to fool if you know what to ask. There is no consciousness and no goal post that needs to be moved. It just returns saved values based on a measurable commonality. It’s the same thing machine learning has been doing for decades.

  • @ArianeQube says:

Voice mode is NOT available in the EU.

  • @saipraneethdevunuri3156 says:

    Duet didn’t work for me😢

  • @olivetree9920 says:

stop telling everyone about NotebookLM people are going to realize its there and I’m gonna have to start paying

  • @tensefx4655 says:

Finally used Lambda Labs to do some tests with an H100 instance (so I could try out higher resolutions with DepthCrafter). Very easy to use!

  • @omarnug says:

Ugh, that EU, pioneers in all sorts of bureaucratic bs, instead of focusing on being productive

  • @MichaelGraybill says:

I dropped some old choose your own adventure style PDFs into notebook LM and discovered they can be ‘played’ through the chat window interaction just by asking. Also the podcast was hilarious, but also incredible in it’s ability to understand the larger context surrounding the books, like release period and the overall concept.

  • @brunolimaj7129 says:

It even has the annoying rapid back and forth speaking style of podcasts , what a time to be aliiive!

  • @kirbyak47 says:

What a time to be alive 😂

  • @NakedSageAstrology says:

The irony of pitching VPN services all of the time, when you have a perfect chance to put one to use.

  • @attlue says:

“..What a time to be alive!..” will FOREVER be heard as SARCASM!

  • @Thedeepseanomad says:

I take a EDI or Legion style voice over Asari sales rep everyday.

  • @daniels-mo9ol says:

Now you can get hallucinations in voice too!

  • @nowymail says:

Make an episode entirely generated by AIs. See if anyone notices.

  • @SimeonRadivoev says:

NotebookLM is your personalized AI research assistant powered by Google’s most capable model, Gemini 1.5 Pro that may still sometimes give inaccurate responses, so you may want to confirm any facts independently.

  • @batchlorofyoutube2108 says:

    Thanks!

  • @hippopotamus86 says:

One positive from the UK leaving the EU

  • @willbatterson1911 says:

I can’t stand the voices they chose though. All of the AIs are too nice; I need some banter or skepticism in my life or I will die of boredom. I want something more like TARS from Interstellar.

  • @MichaelBurkhalter says:

Don’t know when that commercial ran, but Highway 1 has been shut down for years 😂

  • @shadowskullG says:

    AI #3
    oh wait that’s me
    haha so good
