That, and as a musician, I can tell you it doesn’t matter how much money you have if you can’t sing, play or won’t practice… Sometimes rich folks don’t know how to struggle into greatness… Especially when it comes to the arts…. This is an advantage, less affluent, people have and honestly, I never really thought about it until I started teaching all levels.
Addendum: now, making a living at it, that’s a whole other thing! Lol😢
Thank you. The amount of times I see articles on different “self made millionaire business people” and then do like 5 mins of googling on the person’s background just to find out their dad is a millionaire business investor who is on the board…. Or their mum is a high level exec etc etc

This made me think of a time in my early 20s working valet and a coworker pulled up in some new new new jeep or something. It was soo cool because he just instantly started talking with us about the different upgrades, modifications, credit and buying process. His payments were only $200 insurance $200 a month for a brand new jeep! We were literally amazed.
Then he told the coworker he had a crush on he’d love to take her for a ride in it to just show her a few of the cool things. It was actually really cute until they came back.
She’s laughing, getting out of the car. Not like a cute laugh but just a little obnoxious, idk how to describe it. He hurried out and around the car to tell us his grandpa worked for jeep 35 years and was a cosigner for him. It’s still completely his car, though, it’s going on his credit score 😮 I felt so foolish being excited for him and invested in his fantasy 😂 ever since that incident, I realized they really do think it’s not important to mention the sponsor/cosigner.
